Physician Advocacy Day allows attendees the opportunity to meet with their local legislators, discuss policy with advocacy staff, network with colleagues, and explore Missouri’s beautiful Capitol building.

Mark your calendars for Physician Advocacy Day 2027!

Registration is required for attendance and will open in the fall.

All Missouri physicians, residents, fellows, and medical students are invited to attend. Membership in MAOPS or MSMA is not required. Lunch is provided. Bring your white coat, and we’ll see you there!

Day 1

6:00 PM: Briefing – Learn the logistics for the day, tips for visiting legislators, and topics of discussion

Day 2

7:30 AM: Check-In & Breakfast – Millbottom Event Center

8:00 AM: Welcome & Housekeeping

8:05 AM: Guest Speakers

8:25 AM: Group Photo – Millbottom Event Center

8:30 AM: Shuttles to the Capitol begin

9:00 AM – 12:00 PM: Meetings with Legislators*

12:00 PM – 2:00 PM: Lunch with a candidate for the Missouri Senate or House – Millbottom Event Center

*Drop-in appointments: These are scheduled in the event that the legislator is unavailable for a specific time slot. Legislative Staff can often pull the legislator off the floor during Session to meet with you.  If that’s not possible, you can leave your card and materials with Legislative Staff and share your availability in case the legislator would like to follow up.
