Wilbur T. Hill, DO, FACOFP dist., Distinguished Service Award

The Wilbur T. Hill, DO, FACOFP, dist., Distinguished Service Award is presented to one physician or individual during years when a worthy candidate exists for meritorious service to MAOPS and the osteopathic profession over a long period of time, as stated in MAOPS bylaws. All physician candidates must be members of MAOPS.

The 2025 MAOPS Wilbur T. Hill, DO, FACOFP dist., Distinguished Service Award recipient is Lori Haxton, MA, of ATSU. 

Mrs. Haxton retired from ATSU in April 2025, after serving the university for over thirty-seven years. Lori served as the Vice Chancellor of Student Affairs at the time of retirement. Along with her service to ATSU, Lori has long been an advocate for the osteopathic profession receiving the MAOPS Medallion Award in 2012. Her positive outlook and personality have influenced countless students and colleagues over the years.
