President’s Award

The President’s Award is presented to one individual during years when a worthy candidate exists to a young physician (under 10 years of practice), who is nominated by the Missouri Association of Osteopathic Physicians and Surgeons (MAOPS) President and approved by both the MAOPS Awards Committee and Board of Trustees. All candidates must be members of MAOPS.

The 2024 MAOPS President’s Award recipient is Jordan Palmer, DO. Dr. Palmer has been a devoted young leader of MAOPS since his time attending medical school at A.T. Still University. He excelled in both the Wetzel Scholar and Wetzel Fellow programs and has served as a delegate to the AOA House of Delegates, on several MAOPS committees, and as a leader in the Northeast District. Dr. Palmer has always found time for MAOPS within a busy life of practicing family medicine, serving as adjunct faculty at ATSU, and raising his family.
